Today, we are all very conscious of what we consume in our daily meal. We work out, play a sport and stick to a proper meal plan. A lot of us prep our own meal plans and lifestyle routine, because to consult a good diet food nutritionist can get expensive. You may have created this routine either by googling or following a friend’s advice. But there are certain food items that you are consuming, which your nutritionist will ask you to quit right away. It’s time you re-plan and re-prep your daily meal by omitting these items from your daily meal.
- Cereal, breads or granola
First up is cereal or even granola bars for that matter. These are highly processed foods, which exerts your body to break them down into simple compounds. Majority of these breads contain gluten, which again makes it difficult to digest. If your cereal or granola has sugar in it, then it is definitely a no-no. Replace it with an acai bowl or any food diet that is easy on digest.

- Non-organic produce
Yes, I know buying organic produce can get heavy on your pocket. Fruits and veggies are packed with nutrients and mineral, which is washed or depleted over time with the new agricultural practices. Plus going organic isn’t just about avoiding pesticides, it’s also about the nutrients you intake.

- Flavoured Yogurt
Yes, these claim to be low fat, low calorie Greek yogurts, but these yogurts contain high contents of sugar. The packaging doesn’t really mention if this sugar is added or natural. It’s best to eat no-sugar yogurt. If you really want some sweetness, add honey.
If you didn’t know already, soda contains 40 grams of sugar. That is more than your daily requirement of sugar. Sugar feeds cancer and disease as it makes your body acidic. Also sugar has zero nutritional value, which means it pure calorie. And these empty calories are not good for your body. Replace this with some amazing healthy smoothies.

Say goodbye to all those crackers, chips and other junkies. These contain high level of salt and trans fats, which is again empty calories. Together, this causes high blood-pressure and hypertension. Next time you want to snack on something have homemade popcorn, raw veggies with a dip, nuts, fruits etc.
