A new lifeline was added to aid the contestants in the time of need. When in a pickle the contestants could bring a partner along to join them on the hot seat through the newly introduced lifeline— ‘Jodidaar’. This time too some changes are expected in the show’s format to make it more thrilling and fast paced.

Amitabh Bachchan will ask a question on the host channel every evening at 8.30 p.m. from June 6th onwards. The answers will be submitted through SMS, IVRS and Sony TV’s app Sony LIV. Those having the maximum number of correct answers will be called for the auditions for the show. Naturally, answering the question correctly will be the first step towards the hot seat on the show. This will be interesting as last year’s seven-day registration window saw the total registration was 19.8 million.
