After Kangana Ranaut, another actress accuses Queen movie director Vikas Bahl of sexual harassment.
As of late Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut has been busy making headlines. Be it for the trailer launch of her action-packed period film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ or accusing filmmaker Vikas Bahl for behaving inappropriately with her. While given the current situation of Bollywood, actors and actress are supporting those are coming forward with their stories of sexual harassment but it looks like ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has taken a different route inviting Kangana Ranaut’s wrath!
Few days back a former employee of Phantom Films alleged that Vikas Bahl behaved inappropriately with her during a Goa trip and continued doing so even after their return to Mumbai. According to a report in October 2015, the woman had even approached director Anurag Kashyap in hopes of relief from such unwanted behaviour but no steps were taken to stop Vikas Bahl’s behaviour. The filmmaker’s unwanted advances continued till this woman left the company.
After the news went viral, Kangana Ranaut supported the woman by stating:
“Totally believe her, even though Vikas was married back in 2014 when we were filming Queen, he bragged about having casual sex with a new partner every other day. I don’t judge people and their marriages but you can tell when addiction becomes sickness.”
Talking about her experience with the filmmaker while filming Queen, Kangana said that she was ‘shamed’ for retiring to her room early, for not being social or not being ‘cool’ enough.

Further, Kangana revealed that she got an inkling that something was wrong with Vikas’ behaviour when his hugs became tight enough that she had to put in great amount of strength and effort to pull herself away from his embrace. Kangana said that while hugging her he would bury his face in her neck, smell her hair and say, “I love how you smell K”.
She further revealed that post Queen’s success, Vikas had approached her with a script based on a gold medallist from Haryana but never heard back from him as she chose to voice her support for one of the women who had accused him of sexual harassment.
Talking about these incidents, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja started off a war of words with Kangana Ranaut at a summit in Bangalore. At the event Sonam said, “I think Kangana wrote something. Kangana is obviously Kangana Ranaut. She says a lot of stuff and sometimes is hard to take her seriously.”

Trying to cover up, Sonam further said, “I love the fact that she has spunk and she says what she believes. I really respect for that. I don’t know him, I don’t know the situation. If what is written is true, then it’s disgusting and awful. If it’s true, then they should be punished for it.”
Sonam’s statement has not settled down well with Kangana as she fired back in a recent interview to Pinkvilla:
“What does she mean by saying, ‘it’s hard to believe Kangana’? When I am sharing my Me Too story, who gives her a right to judge me? So, Sonam Kapoor has the license of trusting some women and some she won’t. What makes her so unsure of my claims?”
Kangana took it up a notch and stated that Sonam Kapoor is only known because she is actor Anil Kapoor’s daughter.
“I am known to be an articulate person and I have represented my country in many international summits. I am called as a thought and youth influencer to these summits, I am not known because of my dad I have earned my place and credibility after struggling for a decade.”
The Manikarnika actress took more personal digs at Sonam and said, “She isn’t known to be a great actress, neither she has the reputation of being a good speaker. What gives these filmy people right to take digs at me? I will demolish each one of them.”
Currently, Sonam Kapoor has not replied back to Kangana Ranaut’s statements.
