Wedding fever continues to grip Bollywood harder than ever. After Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja and Neha Dhupia-Angad Bedi’s wedding Himesh Reshammiya too has climbed Bollywood shaddi bandwagon! Singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya tied a knot with actress Sonia Kapoor in a midnight ceremony last night.
The wedding ceremony took place at Himesh’s residence in Mumbai. Reportedly, the auspicious time of the wedding was around 1.30 a.m. on the night of May 11. A close-knit affair, the event was attended by immediate family, close friends and Himesh’s son from his previous marriage— Swaym Reshammiya.
The beautiful bride donned a pink Sabyasachi Mukherjee floral lehenga with heavy jewellery. Himesh complemented his lady love in a beige sherwani.
The couple plans to throw a grand reception for friends and fraternity members later.
Earlier Himesh was quoted stating in an interview, “We have been together for a long time, so marriage was a natural progression. It feels wonderful to formalise our relationship.”
In 2016 Himesh and his then wife Komal announced their separation before subsequently getting divorced in 2017. The decision to separate from his wife of 22 years was described as mutual by Himesh.
