The #UriAttack has left 18 soldiers dead, their families bereaved, and the whole country angry. While most of the citizens are calling for a total ban on dealing with Pakistan, there are people who are specifically targeting only the entertainment industry. Amongst such, the first one to raise the voice was singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who is nowadays more in news because of his tweets than his career, and the second one is MNS or Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, who has accused Pakistani actors of helping the terrorists with their earnings in India. Though there is no sane base in such allegations, but then, entertainment industry has always been the softest target and the most accessible one too.
The latest developments on this ongoing unrest are even more disturbing. Apparently, actor Fawad Khan has already left India and gone back to Pak. The reason cited here is as the delivery date of actor’s wife was nearing, he therefore made the exit. However, the actor is not even promoting his upcoming release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and is exit was a very quiet affair. Fishy, indeed, and we feel that the decision to go to Pakistan might have been hastened because of the hostile situation here.
It is indeed a sad state of affairs that artists are not spared of the venom spread by politics.
