Barack Obama, Donald Trump Not Invited To Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s Wedding

UK and international politicians including Barack Obama and Theresa May have been excluded from the royal wedding. Whereas, 12 -year-old school girl Jorja Furze, a charity ambassador is invited at Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.

The first royal wedding  guest list is just revealed out and many prominent politician names have been chucked off the guest list. Despite the fact that Harry is close to the Obamas, Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama are not invited at the royal wedding. Kensington Palace confirmed that close friends of the couple will make to the wedding against official heads of state.

Not at all surprised to see Donald Trump’s name is missing from Prince Harry, Meghan’s royal wedding guest list. May be to avoid political stiffness and embarrassment royal’s excluded both – Obamas and Trump. Also the ‘Suits’ actress had earlier criticized Trump while she was into acting career.

Also not invited at the royal wedding is UK’s Prime Minister Theresa May. Looks like the royals have decided not to invite any diplomatic tiffs, hence UK and international politicians are left off the guest list form the royal wedding.

“It has been decided that an official list of political leaders — both UK and international — is not required for Prince Harry and Ms Markle’s wedding,” a spokesman said.

“Her Majesty’s government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by the royal household.”

It is strange but good to see more of public faces rather than diplomats faces unlike Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011 who had invited political leaders. 

Of the total 2,640 people looking forward to attend Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle’s royal wedding at Windsor Castle, couple asked Lord Lieutenants to invite 1,200 people to join the celebrations who are general public but made a huge impact on society and served community.

Here are some of the people who will join the royal wedding on May 19th –

52-year-old former Royal Marine, Philip Gillespie from Ballymena, who lost his leg and takes part in the Invictus Games is also on the guest list.

Pamela Anomneze, manager at Studio 306 Collective helping people with mental health problems, said she felt excited and overwhelmed to be one of the chosen guests. She said: “I got an email informing me, and I thought it was an April Fools’ Day prank.”

 

A deaf born 14 year old teenager Reuben Litherland from Derby is on the royal wedding guest list who at the tender age started giving sign language lessons at lunch break in school.

 

Amy Wright, 26, from Annan, is among hundreds of members of the public who will be at Windsor Castle next month.

 

Also invited at the royal wedding is 12-year-old Jorja Furze born with one leg who became a charity ambassador and mental health champion.

Kai Fletcher who became homeless at the age of 15 is one among the guest to attend the wedding of Harry and Meghan. His life took a complete ‘U’ turn with the help of a Bath-based charity who help to relieve poverty and hardship for local people. Kai works at the same charity now to help other homeless people.

Julie-Ann Coll, 35 and her mother Catherine Cooke, 53 were surprised to see the received an invitation for the royal wedding. Catherine was chosen for her work with Foyle Women’s Information Network, which provides opportunities for women’s groups to meet from across the county and discuss various issues. Where as Julie received an invitation for child bereavement support group Life After Loss, having lost her son Mark in 2004 at 22 weeks old.

Amelia Thompson, 12, who was caught up in the 2017 Manchester attack was invited, along with Welsh woman and charity volunteer Zoe Arundell, 20. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle come from different background and so is their friend circle. Meghan Markle’s wedding guest list may see some really good friends, work colleagues from Hollywood and her university friends.  We may see Bridal stylist Jessica Mulroney, former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra, and fashion designer, Misha Nonoo at Meghan’s bridal party.

Meghan’s university friend Lindsay Roth and a fashion and fitness icon Millie Mackintosh are also expected on the royal wedding guest list.
