Finally, the two much-awaited films- Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay have hit the screens today. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles is a story about one-sided love, friendship, and heartbreak. While Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay is an action thriller film about a mountaineer, who turns out to be a destroyer to protect his family.
Well, both the films have clashed at the Box Office and now, all the eyes are at the opening of both the films. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has opened with a good occupancy of around 35-50% in the domestic market. In some of the multiplexes, the film has reached to occupancy of 50% also. Well, considering the hype around the film, the opening numbers are good and impressive. The music of the film has turned out to be a key element of the film.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay had a low occupancy of around 25% in comparison to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Shivaay has shown it’s magic in small centers while has failed to witness good occupancy in metros during the morning shows. Shivaay has to show good growth during the weekend in order to survive as a “hit” at the box office.
Being Diwali releases, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay are expected to witness the big war in terms of Box Office figures. Meanwhile, which film is your pick- ADHM or Shivaay?
