
Bollywood veteran actor Vinod Khanna was one of the most handsome and talented actors that Bollywood ever had. The 70 year old actor who passed away today morning started off his career as a villain in the super hit movie Mera Gaon Mera Desh but later was noticed for his performances in movies like Amar Akbar Anthony and The Burning Train. In 1982, at the peak of his film career, Khanna temporarily quit the film industry to follow his spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh. After a 5-year hiatus, the late veteran actor made a comeback to the Hindi film industry giving two back to back hit films, Insaaf and Satyamev Jayate. He last appeared in Bollywood film, Dilwale alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
In 1997, Khanna joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was elected from Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab. He won re-election in 2004 but lost out in the 2009 LokSabha poll. In 2014 general election he was again elected to 16th Lok Sabha from Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab.

Well, it’s a big loss for the industry today. VinodKhanna passed away earlier today at Mumbai’s South hospital. Meanwhile, his body has been taken to his home from the hospital, and the final rites will soon proceed.
