Master Deenanath Mangeshkar 76th Award ceremony will be celebrated on April 24 at Shri Shanmukhanand Hall, Sion.. Veteran actor Anupam Kher, sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and legendary singer Asha Bhosle will be conferred with awards for their contribution in Indian art and music.
Hridaynath said, “In memory of Master Deenanathji, whose monumental contributions as a singer, musician and stage artiste have been an inspiration to the people of Maharashtra and India, the Mangeshkar family organizes the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Smruti Pratishthan Awards to honour legends. Anupam Kher took to Twitter immediately when the news broke and mentioned that a congratulatory call from the celebrated singer and Nightingale Of India Lata Mangeshkar was like an award for him. He wrote, “Thank you Lata Mageshkarji for finding me worthy of the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Award. It will be my great honour to be on stage with the other winners. Especially Asha Bhosleji and Amjad Ali Khan Saab.”

Kher will be presented with an award for his contribution to Indian theatre and cinema, besides making the nation proud by being a part of movies in the West.
While India’s sarod ace Ustad Amjad Ali Khan will be honoured with an award for his contribution in the field of Indian classical music, Late Pt Mangeshkar’s daughter and legendary singer Asha Bhosle will be given a lifetime achievement award for her glorious singing career in the Indian film industry, which spans more than fifty decades.
The 76th Deenanath Mangeshkar Awards are conferred upon legendary contribution in the field of music, art, drama and social work. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will be the chief guest, while Lata Didi is also expected to be present at the ceremony.
