Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai, who was in critical condition for last three weeks, passed away in Mumbai earlier today. Krishnaraj Rai left this world for the heavenly abode earlier today at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai at around 4 pm.
Aishwarya’s father was supposed to return home a couple of weeks ago but after his condition turned critical, he was shifted to ICU of the hospital in Mumbai. As we reported earlier, Krishnaraj Rai had cancer in the past and he likely had a recurrence. Talking about the same, doctor today revealed that he was suffering from lymphoma cancer, which spread to his brain.

These last few weeks, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been there constantly at the hospital and by her father’s side. She went home only to freshen up and meet her daughter Aaradhya. Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan also stood by her during the tough phase. Recently, ould Amitabh Bachchan and many other B-town celebrities had visited to meet Krishnaraj Rai at the hospital.
