If you are following cricket, you might know Anil Kumble recently stepped down as the Head Coach of the Indian team. While quitting from the post, the legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble in his twitter statement stated that Virat Kohli had reservations with his working style. Soon all the blame was put on the Indian Captain Virat Kohli as the reason why Kumble quit as a coach.
Well, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set for the selection of the new coach. As of now, Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, and Tom Moody are believed to be on the list but nothing has been confirmed yet. Apparently, Ravi Shashtri has also applied to be the next coach of the Indian Cricket team.
While BCCI is receiving applications for the new coach, Virat Kohli finally opens up on the same. Ahead of the third ODI against West Indies, Virat Kohli at a recent press con was asked about the new coach selection.
To which Kohli replied, “From a personal point of view, I can’t pinpoint anything or give any details. We as a team only voice our opinion when asked by the BCCI.

“This is a process we always go through and something we respect as a team. It’s something that is asked to the team and not in segregation. The same procedure, as and when it takes place, we will give our suggestions to the BCCI,” Kohli added.
A reporter once again asked the same question to Virat in a different manner. However, Virat handled it at his best but somewhere his reaction sounded curt. “Suggestions are given to the BCCI. There is no point in saying anything out in the open because that is for us as a team to convey to the BCCI as when we are asked,” Kohli replied.
Meanwhile, it is being widely reported by the media that Kohli wants Shastri as the new coach. However, Kohli rubbished the reports.
