Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Tubelight has released at the Box Office and has been receiving mixed reviews from the audience as well as from the critics. Considering the star power of Salman Khan, the expectations from Tubelight were quite high. However, the film has performed average in terms of reviews. Tubelight, which marks Salman Khan and Kabir Khan’s third collaborations after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has earned around Rs 21 crore net approx (210 million) on its first day.(SPOTTED: Salman Khan Bids Adieu To Katrina With A Hug And Kiss, Ranbir Kapoor Avoids Being AWKWARD!)
The collections of the film were expected to be higher and close to around Rs 25 crore. Tubelight’s first-day business is similar to Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees. One of the reasons behind low collection can be due to the pre-Eid release as the target audience will be drawn to the cinema halls on Eid, which falls this coming Monday. With the long weekend, Tubelight is looming large.
