Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s assault by Rajput Karni Sena on Friday in Jaipur was shocking. During the shooting of Padmavati in Jaipur, Karni Sena attacked Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his crew. Immediately, the Padmavati team wrapped up the shooting and moved to Mumbai. After the incident, SLB also made an announcement that he wont shoot his movie Padmavati in Rajasthan.
Bollywood stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and many others protested against the Karni Sena and stood in support of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The group claimed that the makers of Padmavati movie is distorting history and shooting intimated scenes between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji which are objectionable. To which, the director’s team denied the rumors and had given out the statement “We clarify that there is no dream sequence or any objectionable scene between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. We have been carefully researching and making the film. In spite of this, the attack on the shoot and crew was uncalled for. This was extremely damaging to the image of the beautiful city of Jaipur.”

Though the statement was made, the troubles haven’t stopped for Padmavati movie and it’s team. The Rajput Karni Sena has got more bad news and it’s something serious. They have warned the Padmavati team that if they will not agree to their terms there will see more attacks coming. They have drafted the statement of terms for SLB which goes like this –
1. The title of the film needs to be changed from ‘Padmavati’ to something more appropriate.
2. There should be no intimate scenes between the actors playing Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati.
3. No further distortion of historical facts under the guise of creative liberty.
4. The Sena needs to be shown the film before its theatrical release.
