Tanushree Dutta has received two legal notices from Nana Patekar and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri respectively.
Former actress Tanushree Dutta’s battle with Bollywood A-listers like Nana Patekar and filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is taking ugly turns each passing day! As per latest reports, Tanushree Dutta has received legal notices from both, Nana Patekar and Vivek Agnihotri for ‘falsely’ accusing them for sexually harassing her onfilm sets nearly 10 years ago.
Tanushree’s bold statements are being touted as a new wave of Bollywood’s ‘Me Too’ movement. On Wednesday, the former actress released a statement in regards with being slapped with legal notices, “This is the price you pay for speaking out against harassment, humiliation and injustice in India.” Tanushree even claimed that several actors and directors are out to tarnish her reputation by speaking outright lies and giving out misinformation on social media and public platforms.
If you think these problems were enough to trouble Tanushree —you are wrong! Given the sensitivity of the situation and Nana Patekar’s close relations with Mumbai’s MNS party, Tanushree has been receiving threats from the political party. So much so that she has been granted round the clock police protection.

This is not all, recently, when the police personnel were on a lunch break two suspicious men tried barging into Tanushree’s home. They would have done so but were stopped in time by the building’s security personnel and were escorted out. Soon after the police came back and secured the premises again.
Talking about the sad state women’s rights in India, Tanushree quoted the famous dialogue to convey her current situation, ‘Tareek pe tareek pe tareek’. The former actress elaborated by saying that the dawn of justice never comes for several women while they are being intimidated and are drained of their will to stand up for themselves, hence they never gather the will to fight back against such molesters.
“Court cases can run for decades without a hope for a conclusion. At the end an empty shell remains, broken hopes, a life wasted and defeated. This is the age-old saga of survivors in our nation.”
Talking about her time outside the country, Tanushree stated that she found God, peace and healing in United States of America but given the present-day situations surrounding her she risks losing that.

While several Bollywood celebrities like Ayushmann Khuranna, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Kajol have spoken in favour of Tanushree Dutta but she will have to fight this battle alone for herself and all the other women who have stayed silent in face of workplace sexual harassment because they feared no one would hear them.
