Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande is all set for her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika’!
After a three-year interval from work and break-up with Sushant Singh Rajput, TV actress Ankita Lokhande is back in action. Yes, Ankita is all set to appear on the big screen as Jhalkaribai in Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. In the last couple of years, Ankita has turned into a diva and has taken a lot of time in grooming herself. Blame her break-up as the motivation to become this strong and beautiful.

Confirming about her big Bollywood break alongside Kangana Ranaut, Ankita Lokhande, talking to Mumbai Mirror said, “I’d never heard of her before, not many have, but Jhalkaribai was one of the greatest heroes of our proud history. I’m honoured that I’ll be telling her story to the world, fighting alongside Kangana’s Rani Laxmibai.”
Since last few months, Ankita is being trained for sword-fighting with Hollywood action director Nick Powell. Talking about her experience on the same, Ankita says, “Since then, he has taken me by the hand and shown me how to fight. He treats me like a kid and makes the training so entertaining.”
Well, Ankita is a promising TV actress, who is all set to step into the world of Bollywood. However, when asked if she regrets taking a time to enter B-town, Ankita quipped, “I was always a content girl. I stayed with Pavitra Rishta for six years. Even after others left, I carried on because a mother doesn’t abandon her baby. No regrets, my TV show gave me name, fame and money, and now I hope to repeat that success on a bigger platform.”
When asked if she is still in touch with Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita was calm enough with her reply. She said, “No”. Further adding, “I’m not thinking of the past or the future right now, I’m only focussed on the present. I have my own home, a car I bought with my own money and a beautiful film I can’t wait to start. I get gooseflesh at the thought of seeing myself on the big screen.”
