Wedding invitations have been sent out, the house is decorated with fairy lights, gifts have started arriving, dance practice has begun and hands have been stained with mehendi. This can mean only one thing — our resident fashionista, Sonam Kapoor is getting married tomorrow! ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress Sonam Kapoor is all set to walk down the aisle to Delhi based businessman Anand Ahuja on May 8th. Marking the start of the three-day wedding celebration — the mehendi ceremony was held in the Kapoor household.
Family, friends and renowned names of Bollywood attended the pre-wedding festivity. All dressed in their finest ethnic wear, Sonam’s siblings—Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor, cousins Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Jahan Kapoor, Mohit Marwah and Arjun Kapoor were a part of the celebrations.

Uncles Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor along with aunt Maheep Kapoor were also the part of the festivities. Among Bollywood celebrities, actors Varun Dhawan and Siddhanth Kapoor along with actresses Rani Mukherji and Jacqueline Fernandez were present at the Kapoor residence. Filmmaker Karan Johar too attended the celebrations.

Looking every bit of a blushing bride-to-be, Sonam was a vision to behold in her peach-grey ensemble. Complimenting his lady love, Anand Ahuja wore a pink bandgala jacket paired with white trousers. Sporting light coloured trousers could not stop Anand shaking a leg with our henna stained fashionista! The couple looked adorable as they shared a sweet hug while grooving to ‘Lat Lag Gayee’. Leaving her beau behind Sonam was seen dancing with her hands up in the air to ‘Cutiepie’.
The ‘Khoobsurat’ actress also jigged a little showing off her mehendi stained hands.
While the ceremony looked like a fun filled evening, fans are perplexed! The wedding invitation cards clearly state that the mehendi ceremony is supposed to happen on May 7th; originally scheduled for today at Sunteck, Signature Island BKC 4 p.m. onwards. Maybe another round of mehendi celebrations is in order?
