‘Quantico’ producers and lead actor Priyanka Chopra apologizes after for portraying Indians plotting terror attack.
‘Quantico’ series is under huge controversial ring and receiving flakes from round the globe, especially from Indians for showcasing Indians as terrorists in their fiction series.
In an American episode series of Quantico, Priyanka Chopra, who plays FBI agent Alex Parrish, plots a nuclear attack in Manhattan to frame Pakistan for it. Apparently, the episode entitled The Blood of Romeo, aired on June 1 portraying Indian as terrorist and framing Pakistan coincides the timing just days before an Indo-Pak summit is to be held.

The episode shows investigator Alex Parrish finding Rudraksh chain, which is associated with Hindu religion, on the suspect’s neck, leading her to believe that nuclear terror plot is devised by an Indian nationalists to frame Pakistan.
Priyanka Chopra is receiving outrage on twitter and the episode has stirred controversial debate on social media questioning Priyanka’s patriotism towards being Indian and how did she agree to play anti-national role.
Following online backlash, ABC issued an statement, “ABC Studios and the executive producers of Quantico would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, The Blood of Romeo.” ABC added that “the episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it. She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series.”
ABC also explained that “Quantico is a work of fiction. The show has featured antagonists of many different ethnicities and backgrounds, but in this case we inadvertently and regrettably stepped into a complex political issue. It was certainly not our intention to offend anyone.”
