Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmavati’ is repeatedly going through series of protests by some or the other way. Since the beginning of Padmavti shooting, the film has literally undergone through trauma and assault. Drawing controversies, fire on sets and what not did this movie go through! As they say – ‘all’s well that ends well’.
Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor remained tight-lipped on the entire fiasco as the movie director never wanted the lead characters to draw any sort of criticism. Sanjay Leela Bhansali have been repeatedly making it clear that the Padmavati movie is no way ‘distorting the history of Rajputana’s’ nor there is any ‘objectionable sequence between Ranveer Singh(Allauddin Khilji) and Deepika Padukone(Rani Padmini)’. Still, there is someone loosely spreading all the wrong rumours about the movie and this is concerning the films release.
SLB, who is always known for showcasing the history and culture on the canvas with great responsibility, is been facing trouble since the beginning of the movie’s shooting. The Rajput groups have accused the director of ‘distorting historical facts’ and showing ‘romantic sequence between Ranveer and Deepika’. To which, Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his video message once again clarifying all the doubts and rumors on film ‘Padmavati’.
The video of Sanjay Leea Bhansali giving clarification on Padmavati is uploaded on YouTube. Bhansali is appealing everyone and says it is his tribute “to the sacrifice, valour and honour of Rani Padmavati.”
Bhansali also shared the same video on his twiiter account tagging all the three lead characters – Ranveer, Shahid and Deepika. Ranveer Singh re-tweeted SLB’s tweet saying – ‘Hear it from the Man himself. Hope this clears things’

And Shahid Kapoor gave a very diplomatic reply –

We all saw the trailer of Padmavati and even the spectacular Ghoomar song of Rani Padmini which is mind blowing. For the first time in Indian Cinemas history, the period drama will have an female actress, Deepika Padukone playing a lead role. The movie is slated to release on Dec 1.

But there are several protesters standing against the movie release wit Shri Rajput Karni Sena, an organisation of the Rajput community, and the Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha, a Brahmin community organisation. Even the Rajasthan BJP MLA and the former Jaipur royal family member Diya Kumari have belief that film Padmavati is ‘twisting historial facts’.

The film distributors in Rajasthan are skeptical and scared as Rajput Karni Sena have threatened to burn the theaters to ashes, if the movie is played in halls before it is shown to them.
