In a small intimate ceremony, ‘Masaan’ actress Shweta Tripathi entered holy matrimony with her long-time rapper boyfriend Chaitnya Sharma aka Slow Cheeta on Instagram. The couple got married as per traditional hindu wedding ceremony rituals. The colourful wedding ceremony took place at a resort in Goa with only family and close friends in attendance.
Post the wedding ceremony the ‘Masaan’ actress announced her marital status through a very beautiful Instagram post and caption.
“We walked 7 circles around the fire with our closest people around to make sure heaven keeps us together for the rest of our lives. It doesn’t get better than this!”
As we can see, Shweta looked absolutely radiant in her wedding mint green and red lehenga. The heavily embellished lehenga was designed by the quirky brand Papa Don’t Preach. The bride chose to accessorize with a heavy choker-necklace set, matching maangtika-maathapatti combo, a pair of dangling earrings and kundanhaath-phools.
The groom- Chaitnya Sharma complemented his lady love in a deep maroon kurta-pyjama set.

While the wedding ceremony took place in Goa the pre-wedding festivities took place in Mumbai. The mehendi and haldi ceremony were an intimate affair at home surrounded by family.

Before leaving for Goa to get hitched, the long-time couple had a ring ceremony and they also hosted an engagement party to which they invited their friends from Bollywood.
The bride-to-be looked beautiful in her blush pink form fitting embellished lehenga adorned with floral jewellery. While the groom to-be looked dapper in a quirky red-white kurta pyjama combo. Later for the photo call Chaitnya donned a black-white bandhani bandgala suit jacket with black trousers, while the Shweta too, made changes to her outfit by sporting another pink lehenga-jacket combo.
Bollywood celebrities like Kiran Rao, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress Shikha Talsania, Rasika Dugal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Sumeet Vyas, Anand Tiwari and ‘Love Per Square Foot’ actress Angira Dhar were present at the engagement party.
Shweta Tripathi and Chaitnya Sharma announced their engagement in April through an adorable Instagram post. In the post Shweta revealed what all Chaitnya said to her while proposing. According to the post the couple met through stage so it deemed appropriate for Chaitnya to pop the question on stage.
