A few days ago, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt received extortion calls from an unidentified man. Yes, in a shocking turn of event, the caller demanded Rs 50 Lacs from the filmmaker and threatened to kill his daughter Alia Bhatt and wife Soni Razdan if the said amount will not reach on time. As per media reports, Bhatt didn’t take the call seriously but filed a police complaint only after he received a WhatsApp message who claimed to be the gang leader.(Also Read: Koffee With Karan 5: Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan Just Nailed It With Their Bold Confessions!)
The message read, “If you fail to do so, I will fire several rounds of bullets in your daughter Alia and wife Soni.” Soon Mahesh Bhatt filed a police complaint at Juhu police station and a case was registered under section 387 (causing a person to fear death or grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion).
However, it’s a relief for the Bhatt family now as police have arrested the caller who had threatened to kill Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Alia Bhatt and wife Soni Razdan. The culprit has been arrested by the MH and UP police. Mahesh Bhatt took to twitter to shares the news and wrote everything is better.

Well, this is not for the first time that Mahesh Bhatt has received such death threats. The filmmaker has always put up a brave front towards these and the last was when he was promoting his film Khamoshiyan( 2015).
