Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor’s Bandra flat, located on the ground floor of Park Avenue building goes for double the market rate. The 675 sq ft flat in Bandra has been sold for a whopping Rs 7 crore, 3.7 times more than the market value. The actual market value of the flat is Rs 1.89 crore, but as Karisma belongs to list of celebrity flats in the city, the sale rates are not so surprising. The flat was sold in December when the building was being redeveloped.
The actress, who has been living with her two kids now, has transferred her rights on the flat to Silver Birch Real Estate Private Limited, a Bandra East-based firm at Rs 1.03 lakh/sq ft. The stamp duty price is as much as the selling price. The buyer paid Rs 35 lakh as stamp duty for registering the document. As per a report in DNA, the flat was being used as an office by Karisma and the nameplate adorned, ‘Kapoor’s’.

Prakkash Rohira of Karma Realtor said DNA, “Such high rate for an old building is unheard of. But it is a one-off deal and doesn’t represent the market sentiments. Whenever a star is involved, the deal does attract a premium.”
