Kangana Ranaut Rushed To Hospital After Severe Injury On Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi Set

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has faced major head injury after a stunt went wrong on the sets of her next, Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi. The actress was rushed to a hospital after a sword fight scene went wrong. As per media reports, Kangana had to duck when her co-star Nihar swung the sword to attack her in a scene. However, the timing went wrong and the sword hit her head between her brows resulting in 15 stitches.

The actress is currently at Apollo Hospital Hyderabad, a nearby hospital to the shooting spot. She is kept under observation and is expected to be discharged next week. Producer Kamal Jain was quoted by Mid-Day as saying, “Kangana had to duck when Nihar attacked her, but the timing went wrong and Nihar’s sword hit her forehead instead. It made a deep cut between her eyebrows. The drive to the hospital took a good 30 minutes, but she put up a brave front despite the pain and bleeding. Nihar was apologetic and felt terrible, but Kangana pacified him.”

Apparently, Kangana didn’t want the use of body double and chose to do all the stunts by herself. Also, because the actress has taken stunt training from Hollywood action director Nick Powell. Interestingly, Kangana will be wearing this scar in the film with all pride just like the Queen of Jhansi. The actress doesn’t want to hide the scar while shooting and keep it as real as it is.
