Bollywood is shocked and appalled at the recent incident wherein filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was slapped and his clothes torn off by the members of Karni Sena, a self-proclaimed wing, during the shoot of ‘Padmavati’ in Jaipur. The leader of the organisation claimed that Rani Padmavati was a revered figure for the Rajputs and that Bhansali cannot portray her and Alauddin Khilji romancing. They got this idea from a false news that stated that there might be a dream sequence wherein Alauddin Khilji aka Ranveer Singh will be romancing Padmavati aka Deepika Padukone. However, makers had outright denied any such sequence.
Following this attack, many Bollywood celebrities came to support Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but, the most unique way of support has been that of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who dropped his middle and last name on his Twitter handle, keeping it limited to his first name Sushant.

People quote history to search for their relevance in future,
not knowing that their names surely will be forgotten forever.#selfmusing— Sushant Singh Rajput (@itsSSR) January 28, 2017
We would suffer till the time we're obsessed with our surnames.
If you're that courageous, give us your first name to acknowledge.#padmavati— Sushant Singh Rajput (@itsSSR) January 27, 2017
Well, Sushant’s views on the matter are certainly admirable. His gesture too is applaudable and quite daring, something not everyone could have been able to do.
As far as the whole Sanjay Leela Bhansali incident is concerned, we really wish the perpetrators get punished for this condemnable action of theirs.
