Television actor Amit Tandon’s wife Ruby Tandon, who is a famous dermatologist in Mumbai, was remanded in a jail in Dubai for allegedly threatening some government officials during her work trip to Dubai. It was her husband Amit who was with Ruby during her tough times; he visited several times in the Al Raffa jail in Dubai and tried hard to get her out of the jail.
After spending a heart-rending 10 months in jail, finally, Ruby was released few months ago. But even after the release, Ruby could not get permission to go out of Dubai. Around January, she was allowed to go out of Dubai after all the legal proceedings. Thereafter she flew out to her mother in the US with her daughter Jiyana.

Amit and Ruby, who got married in 2007, had filed for a divorce in 2017 and started leaving separately a few weeks before she was arrested in Dubai. Despite of announcement of their separation, Amit went to Dubai to rescue his wife.
And now after facing such rigorous time, the couple decided to give their marriage a second chance.
Explaining the change in heart, a source close to Ruby and Amit had shared to SpotboyE, “Ruby is a changed person. In jail, she realised that what Amit did for her, nobody came even close to doing that. Amit made frequent trips to Dubai and left no stone unturned in making efforts that Ruby should be let out as soon as possible.”
“Ruby and Amit both have developed a respect for each other, which may translate into a patch-up. It is not sure though if both would indeed get into starting their relationship all over again, but it certainly cannot be ruled out at this point of time. Moreover, Ruby also realised that she had got a bit carried away in the world of television and movies. This ordeal also made her eyes open to who are her true friends and who are not. She was shocked to see that many she considered close, were quite fake,” the source further added.
So, are Amit and Ruby staying together? “Nope, they are not staying together. But they meet up more often now, for Jiyana and even otherwise. And, there is a possibility that they might withdraw their divorce plea.”

Dr Ruby Tandon is a Canadian citizen and founder of the Afterglow Advanced Laser Centre, which is a hi-tech clinic for skin treatments in Mumbai. But post the jail incident she is not going to the Santacruz clinic as before. As of now, she is planning to set up something new of own.
On the other hand, Amit who started his career as a finalist in Indian Idol 1, is known for his roles in serials like ‘Dill Mill Gayye’, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki ‘etc.
