
The wait is over. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial movie Padmavati will release as Padmavat on Jan 25, a day before Republic Day.
Few days back, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati was cleared with an U/A certificate by the CBFC board. After changing the name of movie from Padmavati to Padmavat and making other required modifications, the movie has finally made it’s way to hit the screens.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period movie Padmavat which stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor will clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Padman’ on January 25.
Viacom18 Motion Pictures told IANS, “It will release as Padmavat on January 25. The film has got U/A certificate.”
Biz analysy Taran Adarsh has also tweeted Padmavat’s release date, which can be taken as an official confirmation.

After facing all the hurdles and controversies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali do not want to delay Padmavat’s release and is ready to clash with Akshay Kumar’s release. The movie has already suffered huge losses and keenly looking forward over the large weekend holiday which can mint money and cover all the losses at the box office.
When a source asked Akshay Kumar if he is bothered with a clash between Padmavat and Padman, he said he is not worried.
“It is not about competition. It is a very big day, a big week, so all the films can come, both the films can release on that day. Every film has the right to release whenever they want, and I am happy for them.”
