Britney Spears To Pay $35k Per Month To Ex-Husband Kevin Federline For Child Support

Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline have reached to a new child support agreement amount.

Pop singer Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline(also known as K-Fed) have finally reached to a new child support agreement after months of dragging over the matter. 

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline shares two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. After divorce in 2006, court granted Federline physical and legal custody of his children and Britney given visitation rights. Since then Britney was paying K-Fed  USD$20k a month in child support.

Apparently Kevin is working as DJ these days which earns him mere $3,000 a month and receives $20,000 ($10,000 per son) each month from Spears in child support. Whereas her ex-wife Britney Spears’ bright career made her a millionaire churning USD$34 million a year.

Before reaching to this new agreement, Kevin requested $60,000 per month in name of child support, which Britney’s lawyers refused and stated that they didn’t know where his child support money was going as Spears is taking care of her sons

However Britney’s lawyer offered additional $10,000 over existing amount of $20,ooo, which Kevin rejected.

According to US Weekly reports, “Toxic” singer have agreed to pay her ex-husband few more thousands a month in child support. Britney will now pay her ex-husband $35,000 a month in child support.

US Weekly’s source stated that the new agreement “allows Kevin to give the boys a similar lifestyle [to the one] they have when they are with Britney”.

Britney is also ordered by court to pay off Kevin’s legal fees, which amounted to $100k. She is bound to pay for child support until Jayden turns 18 in September 2024.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline married in 2004 and divorced in 2006. Spears asked for both physical and legal custody of their two sons, but court granted the custody to Kevin, giving visitation rights to Britney.
