Salman Khan misquoted once again

Last year, during the promotions of Sultan, Salman had fallen into a trouble over his comment on comparing his physical transformation to a ‘raped woman’ victim. This year, the actor has fallen into controversy again for giving his opinion on the war. The scribe asked Salman – “There have been a lot of chapters about India and Pakistan’s war. Tubelight portrays the Indo – China war. What does it show?”

The superstar very calmly responded saying, “We have not touched that at all. We have just used it as a backdrop. We have just shown that ki yeh jaldi se khatam ho jaaye taaki humare jawaan humare paas aa jaye aur unke jawaan unke families ke paas pohuch jaaye. So it’s basically that. Jab jung hoti hai toh dono taraf ke log marte hai, aur phir families are left without their fathers and they have to spend their whole life without them.”

He further added, “So whoever orders wars, they should be given guns and sent first to fight the war.”

However, he was misquoted over the same as a section of the media ran stories about how the superstar has commented on the Indo-Pak relationship. Many politicians lashed out at the actor for giving his opinion.

Alia Bhatt gets candid on Father’s Day

Bollywood’s talented actress Alia Bhatt shared some amazing words for her father on the occasion of Father’s Day. In an interview with HT, the Udta Punjab actress shared about fond memories she has with her dad. Alia was asked has Mahesh Bhatt been a strict father. Well, the answer was – “My mother was always the one I was scared of. But both of them have always left a lot of room for Shaheen and I to make our own mistakes; fall and then get up on our own. But I really give a lot of credit to my father and my mum, too, as they sort of knew that this is going to be my life and I am made for the movies. He told me certain things — how you behave once you have tasted success, how you treat others, punctuality, respect for time and other people’s work and respect for everybody — that have always stayed with me. He was never strict, and would tell Shaheen and me, ‘If you want to fail, it’s fine.’ What mattered to him more was how we were as human beings.”

Is Mahesh Bhatt, Alia’s true hero? Her answer was simple – “In a way yes because I have, unknowingly, grasped a lot of things from my father. And one of the main things that I look up to him for is his willpower and his power to commit. When you are young, you are ignorant; but now, when I am working, I realise that whatever qualities I have is probably helping me do well in my own standards. And I’m like this because of the way I have seen him and the things that he has done. So, in that sense, he is a hero but I would correct that a bit because I will say he is my heroine.”
