Atif Aslam Responds After Receiving Hate In Pakistan For Singing An Indian Song

It is a known fact that India and Pakistan are separated by borders but many would say that these two countries are united by creativity. Since many years several Pakistani artists have been welcomed in India to showcase their talents one such artist is singer Atif Aslam.

Atif Aslam has spread love in India by crooning some of the most romantic songs of this decade. Every time the singer has sung one of his songs he spreads more love with his art. While Atif is a celebrated singer in his country, currently Pakistan is not happy with him.

During the Pakistani Independence Day Parade Atif Aslam crooned one of his most famous romantic songs from Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’—Tera Hone Laga Hoon.

As soon as this circulated, many in Pakistan started questioning Atif Aslam’s patriotism. As a retaliation many took their hate to Twitter and have expressed their notion, “Zero respect for Atif Aslam!” and “Boycott Atif Aslam @itsaadee Ap Ne Dil Tor diya #boycottAtifAslam #AtifAslam.”

One enraged fan even tweeted, “@itsaadee has always preferred India Over Pakistan. Sorry Adeze but he worked for Money .Can u tell me how many songs he had sang for Pakistan ?He can sing songs for #Lollywood with low money but no he don’t care about Pakistan. He care for India.#AtifAslam”

Atif Aslam Stops Singing, Slams a Man for Harassing a Woman In His Concert

While many are spouting hate, support is pouring in from both the counties for Atif.

Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali who has lent his voice to some beautiful Indian songs like ‘Bin Tere’ and ‘Tu Hi Mera’ tweeted:

Pakistani film critic Omair Alavi reminded the enraged people by stating that Pakistanis go to watch Indian movies and watch Indian television serials in their homes. He further added that art, film or music has no boundaries.

Overwhelmed by the love and support Atif Aslam posted a heartfelt message on Instagram. Through the post Atif expressed that he wishes that things will soon change under former cricketer Imran Khan’s rule as Pakistan’s Prime Minister. And that the people of ‘New Pakistan’ will give due respect to those who deserve it.
