Amaal Mallik slams Indian Film Awards on FB Over Nominating Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Not Randeep Hooda for Sarbjit

There have been many times when moviegoers and Bollywood celebrities have claimed that award shows in India are quite biased and never goes to the deserving candidates. After the recently held Stardust awards and when the Filmfare nomination list was out, people have been tweeting about how these awards shows are rigged. Now, music composer Amaal Mallik’s recent Facebook post on the award shows has rife the speculations even stronger.

Amaal Malik has expressed his displeasure over the award shows in India and has mentioned that how these award shows are making a joke of our film industry. In his long post on FB, Amaal Mallik has questioned that why only Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is nominated for Sarbjit and why there is no mention of Randeep Hooda, who has given equal contribution in the film.

He wrote,  “Why do you have a jury that is still working in the film industry, you need a non-biased jury, not people who are still part of the industry, who end up nominating themselves lol for their own music, their own productions and directorials.”

 

Well, ever since the nomination list of Filmfare was revealed, the audience has been questioning why deserving performers from films such as Aligarh, Airlift are nowhere in the nominations.
