India’s famous pop singer Alisha Chinai is sort of getting her long due justice served now. In 1995 Alisha Chinai who rose to fame after giving a popular hit album Made In India had accused Anu Malik of molesting her.
After singer Sona Mohapatra, Shweta Pandit and few more women from music fraternity alleged Anu Malik of sexual harassment, Alisha Chinai comes forward in support and claimed that every word said and written about the Bollywood music-composer is “true”.
Alisha Chinai and Anu Malik worked together on many popular hits until Alisha accused him of molestation in 1995, though no one bothered to hear her truth. Alisha didn’t work with Malik for several years, until 2003 for Ishq Vishk.
After Sona Mohaptra called Kailash Kher and Anu Malik ‘sex predator’, another singer celebrity Shweta Pandit accused Malik of sexually harassing her when she was 15 and called Malik a “pedophile”.
On Saturday, two more unknown women(one being an aspiring singer) came forward to accuse Malik of sexual harassment. Following to which Malik has been fired from the singing reality show Indian Idol by Sony Entertainment.
After a lot of sexual harassment charges have been piling up against Anu Malik, Alisha Chinai is the latest Bollywood celebrity singer who voiced her #MeToo story.
It took more than two decades to bring justice to Alisha Chinai’s allegations but truth always prevail.
