Actress Sonali Bendre Diagnosed With Cancer; Bollywood Sends Love and Prayers

SonaliBendreBehl has shocked her fans and entire Bollywood beyond belief. Through an Instagram post and tweet Sonali revealed that she is battling ‘high-grade’ cancer.

Sonali, 43, who is famous for doing roles in hit movies like ‘Sarfarosh’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ and ‘Major Saab’ stated through the post despite the circumstances she is maintaining a positive outlook. Through her social media post Sonali has expressed her gratitude towards her family and friends.

Sonali Bendre’s cancer post reads – 

“Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them. 
There is no better way to tackle this, than to take swift and immediate action. And so, as advised by my doctors, I am currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York. We remain optimistic and I am determined to fight every step of the way. What has helped has been the immense outpouring of love and support I’ve received over the past few days, for which I am very grateful.

I’m taking this battle head on, knowing I have the strength of my family and friends behind me.”

Vivek Oberoi who co-judged children’s reality television show ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’ with Sonali took to twitter and wrote:

Due to this unfortunate event, owing to her health Sonali had to step down from the judge’s chair of the reality show which she was a part of for the past two seasons. As per Times Of India ‘DedhIshqiya’ actress Huma Qureshi will be replacing Sonali Bendre on the show.

Earlier, ‘Hindi Medium’ actor Irrfan Khan too had shared the news of being diagnosed with cancer. 

We will surely miss seeing Sonali Bendre Behl on our television screens. In the meanwhile, we wish Sonali a speedy recovery and strength to her close ones.
