In the hullabaloo of biggies like ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Shivaay’, the teaser of ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ has been unveiled, and we just can’t get over it. It is shameless and preposterous, but that’s how the desires of a woman are, and finally it’s coming on the big screens.

The movie stars Konkana Sensharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Plabita Borthakur and Aahana Kumra in lead roles, with Vikrant Massey and Sushant Singh (not Rajput) in supporting avatars. It has been helmed by Alankrita Shrivastava, and produced by Prakash Jha.

The four stories that we see in the trailer have by now given us a fair glimpse of what to expect in the movie. Finally, we can say that Indian heroine has come of age and is not glancing shyly or coyly whenever the word s*x is mentioned. She is coming of age and boldly expressing her desires. Set in old Bhopal, that is exactly what this trailer spells out for us.
